If you hold an Amex Platinum, December isn’t just another month — it’s your final audit window.

Amex refreshed its benefits in 2025, rolling out over a thousand dollars in new statement credits across travel, dining, shopping, wellness, and security perks. But don’t forget:

Many credits expire on December 31. And all of them reset January 1.

If you’ve already used yours, you’re winning.
If you haven’t? You’re potentially leaving $1,747 that can still be spent on the table.

This post is your no-nonsense, last-chance checklist with clear instructions for every credit you can still spend this month if unused — including monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual benefits.

• Add your Platinum card to Uber • credits appear automatically in Uber Wallet
• Use on rides or Uber Eats at checkout
• Tip: pickup Uber Eats orders help avoid fees eating into your credit
• No enrollment needed for Uber Cash, just linking your card

• One-off bonus for December only
• Lands automatically if your Platinum card is linked in Uber
• Can stack with your $15 Uber Cash on Eats or rides

• Requires enrollment in the Amex app first
• Triggers on eligible digital entertainment subscription charges
• Use on a bill that posts in December
• If you don’t currently subscribe to an eligible service, you can start one now to trigger the December increment
• Eligible services include Disney+, a Disney+ bundle, ESPN+, Hulu, The New York Times, Paramount+, Peacock, The Wall Street Journal, YouTube Premium, and YouTube TV
• Don’t forget you can get Peacock or Parmarount+ free with your Walmart+ membership…

• Requires enrollment in the Amex app first
• Pays out monthly to cover the Walmart+ membership cost
• If you’re enrolled, simply let your December membership bill charge to Platinum
• Walmart+ benefits include: fuel discounts, free delivery and Express shipping, Paramount+ OR Peacock, 24/7 vet care through Pawp, and more
• Tip: even if you don’t shop at Walmart often, the fuel savings + shipping + streaming bundle can offset a lot of value

Value for this period: $175

• You don’t need to book the restaurant via Resy, you just need to make sure it’s listed on the Resy website
• Pay at the restaurant with your Platinum card when the bill posts
• Credit triggers after the charge posts
• Works for take-out (just order directly with restaurant, not 3rd party like Uber Eats)
• Tip: gift cards MAY work. It will differ restaurant to restaurant, seems particularly likely to trigger if gift card is processed by Toast

• Shop online, in-store, or in-app and pay with Platinum
• Credit triggers after charge posts
• Does not work at Outlet
• Tip: at time of posting, purchasing a physical gift card online or in-store triggers the credit (loophole)
• Tip: activate offer at Rakuten to get 2X bonus points on purchase

Value for this period: $350

• Book via Amex Travel portal (Fine Hotels + Resorts or The Hotel Collection)
• Only eligible on prepaid reservations, so you pay at checkout in the portal
• Booking minimums:
• FHR = 1-night minimum allowed
• THC = 2-night minimum required
• Credit triggers once the prepaid hotel charge posts
• Tip: you can book travel into 2026, as long as you prepay before Dec 31 and the credit will apply to this benefit period

• Shop online or in-store and pay with Platinum
• Credit triggers after charge posts
• Saks transactions can post late (when item ships, as opposed to when purchase is made); avoid purchasing too close to end of period if possible
• Tip: at time of posting, purchasing a physical gift card online or in-store triggers the credit (loophole)
• Tip: activate offer at Rakuten to get 2X bonus points on purchase

Value for this period: $1,149

• Enrollment required to select 1 airline in the Amex app first
• Technically, credit is valid for non-ticket fee, like: checked bags, seat selection, lounge day passes, fare change fees, onboard purchases
• Tip: United TravelBank would be my go-to here. Head to my Instagram if you need to learn more about that…

• Join Uber One in the Uber app using your Platinum card
• Pay the membership fee → credit triggers after charge posts
• You can join now and use the membership later — the credit is based on triggering the charge
• $9.99 per month, or you can pay the discounted annual fee all in one go, so missing out on this one isn’t the biggest deal — you are covered

• Sign up at clearme.com and pay with Platinum
• Credit triggers after the charge posts
• You can pay for family members
• You can also often get a discount or bonus points through Delta or United (give it a Google to find out the latest offers)

• Apply via the official Trusted Traveler Program (TTP) portal
• Pay the fee with Platinum → credit triggers after the charge posts
• Tip: Global Entry includes TSA PreCheck, so it’s the better pick for international travelers

• Enrollment required in the Amex app first, and register your card with Equinox through the provided link
• Can be used for: gym membership or Equinox+ app subscription
• Tip: if you don’t live near a physical Equinox the Equinox+ app is the easiest way to use the credit

• Buy directly at ouraring.com and pay with Platinum
• Credit triggers after the charge posts
• You can buy for others
• Doesn’t work for gift cards or membership fees
• Tip: Register for free Lululemon account and click through member perks section to get a $40 discount

• Monthly credits available this period: $73
• Quarterly credits available this period: $175

Amex Platinum credits are powerful, but they are timed benefits, not rollovers.

If you haven’t triggered the charges yet, December is the final window to do it.
Once the clock flips to January 1, everything resets — including the credits you earned this year.
